Brazilian born Tathiana Teixeira began as an apprentice of Classical Ballet at the age of 4 and quickly ascended into the professional ranks where she performed worldwide for over 10 years. Tathiana learned early that a healthy balance in both body and mind was required for her to thrive in the demanding discipline of Ballet and found whole leaf Tea to be a great tool in maintaining that balance.
Tathiana discovered that all of the tea’s nutrients and health properties are contained in the whole leaf of the plant, not in the small broken pieces or “dust” used in common tea bags. Therefore, this means that most tea drinkers are only getting a fraction of the wonderful benefits of this ancient plant. After experiencing first-hand the incredible difference between real whole-leaf teas and general market teas, Tathiana was inspired to share the “Secret Truth About Tea” ™ with others!
Armed with an in-depth knowledge and passion for premium tea, a business degree, and an entrepreneurial spirit, Tathiana and husband Alessandro enlisted the expertise of a world renowned Tea Master and founded PLAIN-T.
Together they hand-picked teas from the most prized gardens around the world and developed a vast artisanal selection second to none.

PLAIN-T is grateful to earth’s gift and views its relationship with the environment, gardens and producers as a partnership; one that works in harmony to provide outstanding teas while making the world a better place. Environmentally friendly cultivation methods (no pesticides or chemicals used) and garden management practices such as ideal work conditions are some of the criteria used to select our suppliers. In partnership with clients PLAIN-T is currently working on exciting sustainable projects that encompass the recycling of our product packaging while socially and economically benefiting the community through local charities.
In partnership with local businesses, PLAIN-T is conducting research aimed at fully recycling and re-using its brewed whole-leaf teas.

→ Sourcing of recyclable and biodegradable materials.
→ Paper use is avoided, recycling is mandated. Accounts are managed electronically.
→ When possible, we enjoy the natural light that shines through the large entrance in our warehouse.
