Light to middle green leaf, larger than a Sencha leaf. Full bodied, with a light spicy taste. The Bancha comes from the same tea bush from which also the Senchas are plucked. However, for the Bancha one gathers the sprouts from the last year whereas, for the Sencha one plucks the sprouts from the same year.
